Surveillance, the manipulation of thought and language, and other hallmarks of Orwell's dystopian vision creep into our lives every day. It happens so gradually we don't even notice. Or, we knowingly trade away our rights to privacy in exchange for "safety" or fun technology. But make no mistake: 1984 is here.
